Martin devotes himself to Knox County through his home, work, and community service. He owns a small farm that provides community garden space near Vestal, where he lives with his family. Martin is an employee of the Knox County Engineering & Public Works department where he has learned the importance of being responsive to the concerns of citizens. He has a wealth of volunteer experience in the community with Americorps, Ijams Nature Center, youth sports coach, Knoxville Green Party and other organizations. He is especially proud of his service for two years as President of the Vine Middle School PTSA.
As a native East Tennesseean, he has lived in Knoxville sixteen years with ten of those years in South Knoxville. He graduated from high school in Kingsport and earned two degrees from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville - a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering.
Martin is committed to the best interests of South Knox County. He would be honored to serve his neighbors as County Commissioner for the 9th District.
